CRRT

Continuous renal replacement therapies (CRRTs) are a set of extracorporeal blood purification therapies indicated for the treatment of acute renal failure.

These therapies perform the same functions as hemodialysis but have a particularly long duration, up to several days of continuous treatment, and are administered in an intensive or semi-intensive hospital setting.

Some continuous extracorporeal therapies may also be used in cases of respiratory or liver failure to remove excess carbon dioxide or bilirubin and bile acids.

Medica S.p.A. has developed a wide range of therapies and products for CRRT for both adult and paediatric patients.
